Left hand cylinder head Cam tensioner removal

Hi Chaps
I'm about to change a leaking head gasket on my R1150GS. Can I just remove the top mounted left hand cam chain tensioner, guide and spring without it disappearing in to the engine?
Only asking as all the videos I have seen always show the right hand head with the tensioner underneath.

There is no need to remove the cam chain tensioners to remove the cylinder head.
