Lemon Drizzle take on the new Himalayan

Nobody needs to watch anything beyond the ‘spoiler’ statement at the start….. but do……

PS Great video report, as always. A real example to other video makers as to how it can be done.

"Like a mini GS". Echoes my own impression of it's similarity in "feel" to my old 1150GS.

Ditto the indicator tell tales which are far too small.

A puck on the side stand will sort that issue.

Yup. Spot on boys. You've summed up the bike very well. :thumb2

Excellent Mike & LDG 👍👍 seems to back up very strongly what a lot of experienced motorcyclists are saying about this bike....superb machine and hard to beat for the cost. I liked what Richard was saying in the sit down, a lot of people would like it better if it was 20kg lighter, but it's been designed and built for robustness, very good point and why a lot of the RTW tourers will flock to it.

Will get a run on one soon, might be a single bike solution for me in a few years.

Thank you much appreciated.

where was the drizzle cake at the end! I do remember thinking it would keep a lot of 1150GS riders who only ever ride 1 up very happy on my test ride. Fast enough and very comfy, and torque that belies its engine size.

One of our friends who has one on order is working on a puck, there is some issue that a puck will hit something on the undercarriage (I wasnt listening that hard TBH ) so he is engineering something - I will find out

Excellent. Please keep us posted. :thumb

One of the changes I made to my old Himmie was removing the pillion pad and replacing it with a luggage platform. So ... :D Just need some plywood (or checker alloy) and a workshop.

Why is everybody obsessed with the stand ? Ok, it leans more than it needs to, but my Tracer has the opposite problem of being a bit too upright . I’d rather the former as less chance of it toppling over .

If the side stand was longer it would hit and foul the centre stand

Haven’t you got the new side stand plate yet? the one you’re buying and getting the bike for free:)
