Truth be known I don’t really eat cake, the name came from one of the lads who loves the stuff buying it at every stop and we took the piss out of him saying 40 years ago we were rough tough bite the head off your grandma bikers, but these days we are the Lemon Drizzle Gang

Aye I'm glad I did those roads that make up the NC500 before it became fashionable. I started exploring by motorcycle the fabulous roads up there about 25 years ago, the only downside has been the midges and the rain. I do try to go outside of the midge season, and the rain, well I can live with it, the great roads make up for it.
I've been through Crieff a few times but never stopped, but it does look like a decent place to spend a few nights. Any recommendations for pubs and restaurants? Keep a look out for two V85tts, my blue, white and red one, and Dave's Centenario.

Pubs: don't think there's a bad one really....we did a few including the Pretoria, The Station Bar (down the hill a little), The Tower up the hill a little is good as a pub and to eat.
Restaurants:
Mrs liked the Italian Delivino when we were staying at the fancy pants Crieff Hydro in the spring.
I had an good Indian there but can't recall the name, was town centre...... Checked, was the Gurkhas, very good
