Lemon Drizzle Video Stelvio v V85TT

Nice seeing the two compared, Mike. As always your video and audio are well done and the scenery and roads ideal for motorcycling. It sounds like almost a toss up between the two bikes with you slightly preferring the V85, Dave the Stelvio since he's had a V85, and your brother (with a V85) neither, were he buying he'd choose a Mandello :). This indecision of just which one is best seems to be the case with those who have ridden or owned both bikes.

And that's interesting because on paper (other than being heavier) the Stelvio is better in most areas, but the V85TT is good at most everything and has a charm that makes it enjoyable to ride and easy to live with. I have around 8,000 miles on my Stelvio now and 11,000 on the 2021 V85 and while I enjoy both bikes if I had to choose only one to keep it'd probably be the V85TT. It has enough power for me and no faults that I can find. The Stelvio is very good and the motor makes wonderful power, but for me it has a few little annoyances in certain conditions that the V85 does not.

Will watch that tonight Mike 👍

Was at Jim Allan's in Falkirk yesterday for my V85TT service. Speaking to Stephen the sales guy about the new Stelvio and who's buying. I'd have thought it may have been V85TT owners but no, most have been V100 Mandelo guys who would have bought a Stelvio if they had been available.
He said most V85TT owners are satisfied and hanging on to them, so far anyway. Some with earlier 2019 ones buying the latest euro 5+ rather than changing. Biggest MG seller at JA's is the V7 850.

I'm keeping my Guardia D'Onore, been faultless, fantastic 220 mile round trip for a service yesterday, does all I need and soooo comfortable a bike out of the box 👍

Thanks Mike, enjoyed that comparison 👍
Tell John to switch his display to Night setting and leave it there.....much nicer and easier on the eye even in daytime 😄

Both great bikes and the guys on here with both of them also find them hard to split 👍

PS. The blues music on the opening scene, who is that?

I'm up in Crieff (doing the Cloverleaf routes) when that's on. If I'd known sooner I would have looked for lodgings near Callander. Feckety fcuk:(

No Enfield that week, I'll be with my pal Dave, both on our Moto Guzzi V85TT's. Brut33 (Stu is on a diplomatic mission to Benidorm that week so he can't come with us)

I will mention that to John thanks

I have just responded to a comment from someone complaining about me using music in the videos as it is annoying and distracting
I asked him what I should use ..... silence.....me prattling on ? (I get all sorts of comments)

How can you not like The Blues ?

Be careful if, as you suggest, you will go and try the Euro5+ V85. If you like the early V85 you'll love the new one. I'm fortunate to have both the Euro5+ V85 and the Stelvio. If I had too choose one, it would be a very difficult decision.
Rignt I am booking a test ride - shall I do a review ?

You'll enjoy these routes Al, quieter than the chocca NC500. I think I've done them all now. V85TT perfect bike for them as well. Plenty good pubs and restaurants in Crieff and it's a nice wee town 👍👍

Aye I'm glad I did those roads that make up the NC500 before it became fashionable. I started exploring by motorcycle the fabulous roads up there about 25 years ago, the only downside has been the midges and the rain. I do try to go outside of the midge season, and the rain, well I can live with it, the great roads make up for it.
I've been through Crieff a few times but never stopped, but it does look like a decent place to spend a few nights. Any recommendations for pubs and restaurants? Keep a look out for two V85tts, my blue, white and red one, and Dave's Centenario.
