help please bought an 04 GS and rode from Luton to stranraer but the lights let the bike down anyone recomend good lights PLEASE

I had the same problem with my 1150 GSA.

I've upgraded the bulb for the main headlight (look on Ebay) and i bought a set of fog lamps from TT, cheaper than the spots and not so bright so they don't blind everyone.
I ride with these on all the time and i'd say they have improved the lighting by 100%

DO IT!

HID is the route to go down, I got a 50w kit off Les for my 1150 (dip beam only). Really simple to fit and HUGE difference to the light output, anything else is a waste of money to be honest.

Les converted my headlight to HID and my fog lights as well .....

Riding home at midday I was getting flashed by artics before I adjusted them a bit ... !

Les knows his stuff and a neater job you would not get if they were factory fitted .....
