Having had an 1150 which needed help in both the dip and main beam departments I'm pleased to say that the 1200 is a massive improvement when it comes to dip but main beam is still next to useless. Based upon this I added a Migsel light bar to my christmas wish list (thanks Sandra) then bought some FF50's and here is the result. They blend in well with the bike and are considerably better than the standard main beam.

The light bar is even more stable than the 1150 version due to the width of the mounting points.

What you want now is some drive lights to go with the FF50's :D

I had FF50's and Micro DE's on my 1150 but the dip on the 1200 is far better so I only need some assistance for main hence the FF50's. :thumb

Have HID fitted on the dip and use the PIAA as a drive/running light, like Blackpool illumination's :D

I never had an 1150 but I have similar setup as you on my 1200 but with Hella Micro DE's used with dip and the FF50's with main beam (plus the Micro DE's of course) and the effect is very good.

Here are a couple of pics of my 1150 with the Micro DE's and FF50's. I agree that the results are good I just didn't feel I needed to improve the 1200's dip.
