Is how I would describe the gearbox on my 2014 LC.:JB

Just how it's meant to be.:rob:beerjug:

My GS is good, not brilliant. I was so relieved to find my gearbox worked well after reading of all the problems. Its so much better than my old GS up and down the box, finding neutral is so easy.
With a cool engine I can feel a bit of clutch drag when waiting at junctions and the engine fires up slower if you start in gear with the clutch in.

Gearbox on my 2004 1200 is like making love to a slightly reluctant woman....

It can be done....to the mutual satisfaction of both parties..

:friday

Sigh .... It's weird ... :nenau

I took a trip to the smoke today for a lunch meeting (herring on warm potatoes followed by a charcuterie ... :fnikefork) and the bike was absolutely perfect. Parked up, had lunch and a gossip, got back on it three hours later, and it was a pig for the first half hour of town riding. Beats me what it is .... all the time it's being spanked it seems fine, but the minute I bimble on it, it turns into a bag of spanners ... :nenau

Yer probably right. And it's fuel to the (take this in the spirit that's it's meant ...) peepes that prefer the 1150's and argue that they don't like the whole LC 1200 package. It's a bit of a thoroughbred I think, and just doesn't seem to like trundling and bimbling about. It works when you thrash it, but doesn't work (well ... for me .. ) when I chill out and enjoy the scenery ....

1100 miles in, and NOT ONE bad gear change.:thumb According to the Nav V, that's over 25,000 gear changes.

It seems that BMW has nailed it on the 2014 MY.:beerjug:

Finally:rob
