We'll get an offroad and a fords ride sorted as well.....

Clive, Greg, Tim, Simon?? :)

Yes, happy to lead the off-road ride. Nicked some trails from Mouse and Timpo this year so next year we should be able to throw in a whole load of 'new to the GSers' trails.

I suggest that we (organisers) sort out the days for the rides so that the odd fools who want to do a dirt ride and a road ride on the same weekend get to do that.

My Road Ride will be on the Saturday...not negotiable. :thumb

Got to say this. The Hand Hotel is overpriced & run down  But........... the drunken totty on Saturday night was most,... err invigorating :thumb

Be wary of roads desribed as "technical" by Tarka, this really means, bring spare underwear :D

It's unlikely they will 'officially  ' be on separate days but all these fords, lanes and tracks are my back yard :) .

Llangollen and the surrounding area is a fantastic biking resource, and a long way to go for only one ride, a run down hotel, ageing Welsh totty and a kebab. ;)

So if anyone also wants to go out offroading or playing on the Friday or Sunday give me a shout.

Don't go arranging anything yet Tim......as it's on a BH weekend, about the first I can remember that we've had a UKGSer weekend on one, I was going to post a poll closer to the time to see how people want to play it......if enough do want to make a full weekend of it, it would be sensible to have the rides on two days...I'm planning on being there all weekend and I imagine a lot of others will as well.

We'll sort that out closer to the time....but it would be good if we can make use of the whole weekend if people are up for it :thumb

No worries Bill, I don't need to plan for rides around here :thumb
But there are those who want to maximise the opportunity for actually riding somewhere different   :D

Will there be a lazy b*****ds ridy to Rhyll (or somewhere equally puke worthy) for ice cream on Saturday afternoon again? :D
And could it be possible to make arrangements with one of the two(?) campsites for a block booking at a reasonable charge as opposed to being fleeced - was it nearly a tenner this year? :beerjug:

It is in the diary...all the way through to the Monday...

Yes it was a tenner last year (up from £8 the year before)

oh ok i think i will come to this
hee hee
i will be there as long as nothing else important gets in the way i will even bring jason with me too :thumb

In addition to the proper off-road trip that Simon and Spout put together last year I could put a soft route together. It would be suitable for Tourance or even road tyres if it’s dry and will mainly be short sections of roads that have not been maintained for a long time. They'll have some loose stone and thin mud. Enough to get a taste of what a GS can do without risking the bike too much.
Several of these roads take in some stunning countryside and the route should never be that far from Llangollen that people can not turn back if they want
I now live fairly local to Llangollen so its no problem sorting it out or I am just as happy going on one of the other rides if no one is interested.

Anyone fancy taking over the off-road ride-out

Folks

Anyone fancy taking up the task of planning and leading the dirt run next year? Family/work/other activities will make it difficult for me to do it justice.
