Llangollen 2007

Heh I was about to offer to help Simon out with the off roading. Tim if you need any help, let me know :)

Ok mate, it'll be good to ride with you again.

I'm going to be away for a few weeks, perhaps we can meet up with a few others and have a ride in November sometime :thumb

sounds like a great idea to me to be able to be able to do more than one run out, I would like to be able to do a fords run and a beginners off road run if possible.
I would be happy to ride as back marker on a fords run and/or could come down and try out the route prior to the event if that helps.

I too would like to be able to do a Beginners off road ride, seein as it'll be my first time taking my 12 off road (somthing mainly gentle and steady with the odd optional challenge thrown in :thumb ) not too boring though.

Also I'd like to do a fords run too

I'm not a compleat numpty off road, I had a good laugh on the BW off road cousrse in August and rode the 12 adv a couple of times without dropping it. I'm just a bit tentetive about taking my own 12 off road for the first time.

I'm happy to help out with back-marking as well, but may need some help picking me bike up ocasionaly :o

another novice...

Haven't done any off-road (yet), just on-road European Touring but I would like to have a go at off-road. The idea of a basic run (for someone with road tyres with maybe a bit of coaching?) appeals to me and I reckon would be worth  or two. I know the area as a driver but know little about the off-road runs/fords in the area. So that is at least three people interested...

I too would be interested in a novice style off-road run providing the weather is fairly dry (road tyres and all) so if you are looking for numbers count me in.

If you have any further details on the camping site and what amenaties it has etc, that would be useful. :thumb

Nuts it appears we already have max numbers booked off work for the Friday / Saturday nights but I have got my name down for first dibs if anything changes.

Ahh.....the innocence of the guy who forgot all about that extra week`s holiday we all get courtesy of the Self Certification sick note......... :D :D

Arh no never, but it always worries me how I might explain being in a North Wales hospital with a broken leg when I was onlt meant to have a sore throat :mmmm

Hope me leg's mended and i have a bike

For those who have not been to this one yet it's a great event and ideal for putting faces to names.

See you there :thumb

Don't go arranging anything yet Tim......as it's on a BH weekend, about the first I can remember that we've had a UKGSer weekend on one, I was going to post a poll closer to the time to see how people want to play it......if enough do want to make a full weekend of it, it would be sensible to have the rides on two days...I'm planning on being there all weekend and I imagine a lot of others will as well.

We'll sort that out closer to the time....but it would be good if we can make use of the whole weekend if people are up for it :thumb

Llangollen

Sorry - my request was a bit cryptic - details of the Llangollen event - what's on (rides or whatever). Got the hotel details, but wasn't sure about booking until I had an idea of what to expect........

  • Friday night, drinking and talking bollox
  • Saturday day, road rides, off road rides and maybe a local fords ride, will probably leave the Hand Hotel carpark at 10:00am
  • Saturday night, more drinking and talking bollox and a meal at the hotel
  • Sunday, most will be going home but the iron butt members will probably go for another rideout first :thumb
