Hi Folk's

Appreciate Liv has a thread running about SNOW in Scotland, however SIT REP required as we're heading for the Gairloch area tomorrow and am asking you guy's for the road conditions basically from Glasgow North thru Fort Bill and beyond to Glen Shiel (preffered route) or if i have to via Perth A9, Inverness and out to the West

I have spoken to the manageress of hotel and she did say that some other guest's had problems getting there from Inverness today, however around Gairloch itself things were Ok a few bit's of snow but not lying

Thank's for any Heads up on this

Hi Norrie

There's nothing at sea level around Oban. I suspect it will be the same all the way up to Fort Bill (calling GC!!). What it's like on the way out to Perth I'll find out tomorrow. I'm heading to Fife!

Cheers
Andy

Clear here today and forecast looks ok for tomorrow Norrie.
Snow level here looks to be about 1000 ft.
A82 was closed at Tyndrum on Tuesday and Wednesday but just a bit of sleet today.
Deliveries getting through fine today for the first time this week.
Aviemore/Inversnckie getting hit worse than we are.
Have a good trip :thumb2

Coast road A96 Forres to Inverness was alright but shut at Huntly last night. Snowline at about 100mtrs as far as I can see. Lots of water the past couple of days. A95 looked terrible yesterday (try trafficscotland.org and look at the Live-Eye-Views).
Forecast wet for next week so camping off the cards. Bugger.

Thank's Guy's much appreciated :thumb2 Rico because of the adverse weather condition I've had to change :( my mode of transport so the wet stuff won't bother us and keep's SWMBO happy

(also gives me an excuse to return on two wheels at a later date ) :augie
