Isn't it time for a quickie divorce, your never going to trust it/her ever again...........

I can't afford a divorce. I stupidly didn't get a pre-nup and so she'll keep all the expensive gifts I bestowed on her when I was so besotted. Who knows, if she accepts to have therapy and promises to never be a bad girl again then I might learn to trust her again. It's a difficult one. She's beautiful, she has a great ass and she goes like a train. I am not at the stage when I can bring myself to look at any other bikes, or even fancy taking them out for a ride yet.

She still has a chance...

not a cheap choice to keep or burn the witch bro - in fact, what if the witch spontaneously combusted at the side of the road...........:augie

It's weird isn't it. That does happen. Especially with her history... nobody would be surprised:)

8,400 thread views from a highly targeted user base says you're right on the money; only takes 1 Country Manager with no imagination to throw it all away....:augie

It will be interesting to see what happens. The bike is 7 months out of warranty but I would hope they might be considerate and help out a bit...maybe. Otherwise I might just have to do the washing up for the next 50 years at the Ktm dealer to pay for it

Was just gonna ask if its still in warranty,,,,
I was considering a second hand 1200 multistrada but TOO many horror stories, great if its still under warranty, money pit if it isn't :blast

Think with the mileage you do and the abuse it gets, be better off with a REALLY simple bike like a old 1150 gsa !!

That is sitting in my garage laughing it's tits off as we speak. I can can hear it from here in the house. Its shouting "Ich hab's dir gesagt, du verdammter Idiot" over and over again. I can't even go in the garage at the moment. It's just pissing itself...

That bike has 130K hard miles on it and it's electrics are getting a bit iffy, despite me changing the loom a few years ago. No @£@$%!£$!@$@£$!@£$!@£$!%@^!%@$%@ing imobiliser though!

Thank you Monkeyboy, it was gripping stuff, you seriously need to think about travel writing for an occupation, I for one would certainly pay for it:bow

I think I'd be asking the sales guys how much they'll give you in part ex against another one. It's December and they've got targets to hit and bonuses to earn for their January salaries..........

If I had to lay out more than 1 earth pound then it would be too much for me. That's like chucking one Bitch for her younger sister. Probably still a proper Bitch. It's in their blood....

Thank you monkeyboy :thumb

Just caught up with your report, spent the last few hours reading from start to finish. Great writing, superb photographs ... you certainly have the eye for taking terrific photo's, and pretty faces :D

Have to cough to getting something in my eye though, I've been kinda squinting through moisture drops ...

We loved Russia, Sue (Gracie on here) and myself, fell deeply in love with the place and her people. The police weren't a problem to a pair of geriatrics like us, sure they stopped us four or five times a day, through the Stan's too, sometimes just for a chat, sometimes to answer some alleged offence or other .... a photograph of me on my police bike with Princess Anne, and a small South Yorkshire Police tie pin or cloth badge always resulted in coffee with them, a handshake and a cheery wave :D (I'd retired ten years earlier after thirty years service)

The places you mention, Karakol, Lake Issyk Kull ... we swam in the lake, taught the local kids how to swim down to the bottom and pick up an identifiable stone I'd thrown in for them (much to the delight of their parents) Naryn, Tash Rabat, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan ... we got in to China but were arrested and thrown back in to Mongolia. (we didn't have the paperwork for the bikes; for us yes, but for the bikes no)

Your report has had me spellbound .... thank you once more :thumb

We did another trip after that one, overland to Iran and Pakistan, heading for the Himalayas, but a nasty accident on the Karakorum Highway put Sue in hospital with a very nasty compound fracture of her upper arm, and ended the trip.

All the best for your future ventures :thumby:

Bloody hell mate - you've been about a bit then:) I don't get much time at any of the places and it must be nice to do it the way you did. The lake always looks inviting but I don't carry swimmers:)
