Long shot,,800 starter clutch needed

It's an F800S but I'm assuming it's gonna be the same engine.
Starter clutch seems to have given up as I can see the starter gears whizzing around but not the generator flywheel, or indeed the rest of the engine.
Anyone know of an engine being broken before I order new parts from Bahnstormers?
