Hi all
I was looking for a GSA 1250 but not seeing too many second hand ones with the spec I want here in Ireland.
But I came across a S1000R 2021 model with every factory extra I could want and in the beautiful while colour, with 25k km on the clock but with a full BMW service history.
However I haven't ridden one as I thought they might be a bit intimidating but I am very interested in one and had a few questions.
Would that mileage be considered high? Or are these bikes as capable of high mileage as let's say the GS?
Is the S1000R comfortable for taller riders?
Also, I read a lot of comments on these being boring and to me, I take that as a compliment that BMW have made this bike so capable but also manageable.
Are they a joy to ride or do they scare the life out of you?
I was looking at the hornet sp new for similar money but I don't think it will be comfortable for taller riders.
Im continuing my search for a GSA but the S1000R really peaked my interest.
At this rate, it's going to be autumn before I secure a bike and I'll probably be regretting buying coming into the winter as I haven't been riding bikes in 7 years or so due to injuries.
Thanks for any advice.
