Hope to start looking for a bike in the next few weeks. Aiming for a cared but used 1100GS, R80GS or R100GS. Ideally something ready for travel with luggage etc, not worried about mileage or that its not mint etc. Has anyone anything that might suit? I might consider an 1150GS but not an adventure as I have shortish legs..

Will depend on model available. Should be able to pick up an 1100 for around 2k?

I have a 1200gs coming up for sale soon. 32k miles. In v good nic, none of the usual corrosion. Full vario luggage & inner bags. It has the low seat. I'm 5' 6" and get on OK with it. Wanting £3.7k for it. Might be above your budget.
Prob just a wee bit, wasn't considering the 1200, doh what have you done!!!

How much?
£2200 with bobbins fitted and full service, all fluids, tappets, balances etc etc (with proper filters not that hiflo schite) but let whoever interested sort tyres as we all have our own preferences
Thanks for all the help so far guys. Nothing really hitting the exact spot so far. The 1200 would be nice, but I'm wanting something I can learn to work on myself. Reading about canbus etc tends to put me off.

Last year i've got my mitts on a r1100 gs.What a machine...Take everything for a spin and then see what suits you.
Vasile yeah its really an 1100GS I want, I always like the older styled stuff. I have a DR350, great fun to ride, so am not bikeless, and have had an F650GS in the past. I can wait if I have too.

Courtesy of The Smudger, she has to be MOT'd on Saturday, then need to chat PhilGunn re collecting for me etc. Luggage/SatNav etc, the usual farkles to add then.
