However, your last project looks so good that I've had to make a slight adjustment in opinion in this case.

Please don't knacker a perfectly good GS or G/S.

(anything else is fair game)

It's not a wind up they really are awful. Underpowered and with a wheelbase they changes length as you hit bumps on corners. Forks from a road bike with a little spacer in the bottom to give the impression they were longer forks. I used to warn people on this site who were looking for them but nobody believed me.

PS I have an original G/S front end available if anyone is looking for one to restore a previously butchered bike.

I know but it was almost 30 years ago and nobody wanted them then - even fitted R100RS barrels and pistons on the bugger !!!

Guys not sure we are on the same page, mine is a road bike as standard not a GS - or nothing like the bike in the Kenny's photos, rest assured this thing I have bought is not very pretty.

Im guessing they are late model R series mono or 1100/1150 rs/tr or similar - almost certainky BMW rather than aftermarket I would say.

Paralever or oilhead wheels. Very cheap to buy as nobody wants them. There's a rear on ebay with a tyre fitted for £50 on "buy it now"
