Take a look here Its only done 49 miles, going for £6950. They claim it only has a few scratches on the right hand side.

Its only done 49 miles

Hmm- Downpipe colour would hint otherwise.

However I would imagine that without very specialist knowledge, it would be difficult to meddle with the odometer- unless of coursi it has been replaced and if so why......?

Hmmm

The question I would ask is why the proud owner of a 1200 didn't just claim off his insurance and get the minor damage repaired.

Maybe bought on the never never, no valid insurance or TPFF etc.

Could still be a steal!

Hmmm...The colour of the downpipes is different on each side which doesn't seem right. Something smells a little fishy with this one.

I thought salvage companies only bought written off vehicles. If the bike has only done 49 miles and has only a few scratches why did the insurance company write it off?

In my mind this is one biike to walk away from regardless of how tempting the price is.

Went to see it today with a view to buy, not much damage but left it there, something about it????. Could be a cheap way to get one though!.

Bike looks like its done more miles than 49 saying that the tyres look unworn. As i said the damage is minimal only light scratches unlike road rash though. R/H passenger foot rest hanger bent down probably why its been wrote off as it it part of frame. bike is on V car as a cat (dunno what he said) write off. I got the feeling it had been messed with to make it look better than it did, throttle cable pulls out when locked over to the left. bike is covered in dirt where dirt dos'nt get. It would'nt start or turn over, could be the alarm. Been on V car this will afect the resale value so at nearly £7k i would rather pay another grand and get a strait one. saying all that if i did'nt already have one i would have bid them £6500 for it and kept it for years. I went to look at it for my mate who is interested in it but working away. hope this helps. Flip..

Flip, thanks for that, deffo not for me, I am with you I would pay another grand or so to make sure the bikes is spot on.
