I've been really struggling with an 'Essential tremor' of late, I've had it about 6-7 years but with a change of one of my medications it has gotten much worse. A downside to this is that it makes clutch control very difficult and with me, it's now at the point were it's becoming dangerous. Stalling when pulling out of junctions onto roundabouts, slow control almost impossible etc. With this in mind I tested an R1300RT today to see what the auto box is all about. WOW, an absolute revelation for me and I've no doubt will bring back much of the riding pleasure I had lost. After the test and some discussion I decided on an R1300GS TE with ASA. Sadly my beloved V85TT will have to go, but even with the lovely light clutch on that it was starting to catch me out at times. I never thought I would see myself back on a GS, but needs must. After 55yrs of riding I'm not quite ready to give up yet.

I thought it was a bit clunky in full auto, but in manual it was butter smooth.

Excellent news that you have a solution to keep doing what you love. Plus the RT will be a different ride compared to your recent run of Guzzis 👍👍

Marshals Grimsby. I find it difficult to deal with Barry.
Agree, I’ve never had a positive experience in Robson’s, always been made to feel like I should be grateful they are willing to sell me a bike. Marshals have been really helpful recently with me but I can’t fault Vertu in Shipley, where I got mine from, brilliant deal and after service.
I have history with them, having bought a bike from all three of their showrooms going back when they were Alan Jefferies.

I rarely have a cup of tea or coffee when I'm out and about now. Not so bad when I get back to the table and can hold a cup with two hands but near impossible to carry a cup without spilling half of it.
