Looks like the GS1300 is happening?

He makes more sense than some of the tossers on here at times with their blinkered and conservative views , pipe and slipper club lol.... Boxerlust make some good points that are relative , read between the lines, I do. Others seem to get stuck in the rut of abuse , he is allowed his points wether you or others like it or not.

I looked between all of the lines….just white background, no substance.

Check again and loose the blinkers .

I don’t wear blinkers, or blinders. That’s for the North American expert so he doesn’t have to read between the lines.

Telelever is there you can see the fork clamps in the same position as the other GS in the shots . Also the engine (front) pivot is showing as well , they would not go to forks . Also 800cc buzz motor , no , more cc , smoother etc etc.

Funny how the 850 was rated a better engine than the 1100...

Depends what for , on road or off road , less cc better for tracks as lighter more agile . Its all about what you want from a bike , I get given small cc loan bikes when my 1200 / 1250 is in for service and they are , lets say , wanting. But that perhaps as Im a cc man and like the power that gives , Im not a fan of small engines , well unless its on an enduro bike , which again is made for the job. We are all different .:beerjug:

I was referring to the boxer engine back in the 90'. They only had the R850R in that configuration in the UK.

Back 25 years ago the R850R were not rated better than the R1100 why would they as they had less bore and thus less hp and torque than the bigger bore 1100 engines.Nobody bought them and they were dropped quick. The only thing that was better for people who rode slow with almost closed throttle low rpm/high gear situations loading the engine what you should not do anyways the R1100 would surge and the R850 would not...What they had in common is that they already were EU 5-2.0 compliant and sounded like NOTHING...Awful a motorcycle with no sound  In 2010 the R1200GS took care of that problem :thumb2 And I hope the R1300GS will sound good, too or Akrapovic will offer the right solution :thumby:

Ah you can just imagine that BMW Motorrad Marketing meeting cant you:

Vee are loosing market share to zeez bastards KTM and Ducati - zey av built bikes zat zum of our normal customer base are buying - how do we stop zee rot?

Excuse me sir - how about we release zum spy pictures of us testing zum of our new stuff and zet a rumour about a 1300 GS wiz all zee bells and zee whistles - ziss will make all zee traditional Motorrad customers stop and zink "I will wait for zee new bike in 2022" - an zen in 2022 we can release zee new bike zat looks exactly like zee old one but is 2 kg lighter but haz 1298 cc zo vee can call it a 1300 - zee fools vill buy it in zee sousands.

So you want a fucking 1400 now!

Why not 1400 ? 700 cc per cylinder is pretty much the optimal capacity for naturally aspirated power...165 hp @ 8500 rpm & 155 nm @ 6000 rpm with 1000 rpm overrev-reserve sounds realistic and would make for the perfect ROAD going motorcycle powerpant ! But 1300 cc and now 100 % water-cooling already means more power and ability to keep things cool :thumb2 Compared to the 1250 the new bike looks more compact and smaller which is also very good ! I hope the base 1300 will start at 150hp/nm and go up from there for the M or even S-Boxer version if they surprise us with one because none of the successors R1200S,HP2-S,R1200/1250RS were really as good in the sum of their parts or experience as the R1100S was...A modern R1100S would be awesome :thumby:
As todays superbikes really have no business being on the streets and make only sense to be ridden on the track.
But a good looking and practical Sportboxer would still have market relevance for people who don't want a bike as upright as a GS or a XR !
Who knows if they surprise us with something like that like they did in 1998 with the R1100S...

I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

Probably laugh, the bloke is an absolute Cockwomble of the highest order.

Boring Moto 3 races……now that’s funny.

Told you he is a TIT !

I hear the new boxerlust 1400 go so fast covid blows away.

Much of this abuse is really unnecessary , all BL is lacking in is a bit of imagination. I mean , does he not realise BMW already make an R1800 ;)

He's been there already spouting his fonts of wisdom.

Rushy and I thought I have a lot of imagination...All I lack is enthusiasm like some of these guys here...;)
Back to the GS the 2022 is the same as the 2021 all you can get is aluminum boxes right from the start. So 2023 will be the year for the all new GS like 2013 was for the all new then current GS-LC.
More compact, lighter (cast aluminum or C-F frame pieces) and more POWER (100% instead 30% water-cooling) is all great news.More cc and new heads for sure ! Maybe even an all new engine with a center crankshaft bearing to give the boxer the ability to rev 10000 rpm for a S Sportboxer and XR version but this is speculation as there are no drone pictures from above to see how far the cylinders are off-set.And best of all...TELEVER :bow
Good times :thumb2
You can either get one of the last 1250 boxers that are 2013 1200 LC's refined and reliable 9 years in the making or wait for the all new one and hope the bugs are worked out from day one...
And about the power 150 Hp/Nm as the baseline for the R1300 should be the absolute minimum as 165hp and 155nm would be awesome and kill the Lust for a S1000XR with M package or TripleBlack new for 2022 for good :thumb

Do you still believe in Santa and the tooth fairy?

:D He would spit out his dummy if he knew the truth. I rejected 2 GS-LC. No fucking way I will be Beta tester again.

If I had to buy a new bike now I would buy a 1250 GS since they are as good as they ever get.Great motorcycles for ROAD riding. In the sum of its parts/abilities nothing is better than a GS...
The new R1300GS will be better as in lighter and more powerful. But with everything all new you take a chance but then 12 years ago when the S1000RR came out all new they were right from day one ! So who knows and I would only worry if the engine is all new and not a evolutionary upgrade of the current 1250 mill...The pictures did not tell enough. The 1250 was right on from day one :thumb2

I was and enjoyed every minute of it as the support was great , even when when I blew the 15 plate up .
My 13 had a few issues , but the Gs is such a great bike you forgive it , bit like a loyal mate , always room for understanding .

Hell I wish BMW would make a smaller, lighter R series GS, maybe 800cc liquid cooled with conventional forks and no electronic suspension, no throttle modes or TC, just defeat-able abs. In other words more like Tenere' 700 than an RT.

NO , NO , NO …….on all counts

Always buy the last of the outgoing current model, you get the most sorted bike and the added benefit of all the bells and whistles thrown in for free :)

Errr....really? Is that true? I doubt it.

My old HP4 needed work. At a track day I asked Neil Hodgson if he would do a few laps on it for me and give me his thoughts on the suspension. He came back and his comprehensive review consisted of four letters. Ending with a capital 'T'.

How about those bar vibes too? And it's taken them the 12 years to sort the looks out.

Otherwise a fine machine.
