Loose Hose - Help

I was just replacing some gaffer tape I use on the frame down by the riders left footpeg (to stop the rubbing against the paint) when I noticed a loose black hose there. it runs down the frame from under the saddle, and has the number
"7 709 641-01" marked on it..

Anyone know 1) what it is, and 2)where should it be connected to?

Probably the petrol overflow/breather from the top of the tank...it's meant to just dangle there, venting vapour, so don't worry
