Loss of power in front power socket

I know this has been discussed before and have done sevral fruitless searches on the subject. Can anybody point me to the right thread as my quest keeps powering down when plugged in to the front socket.

I had a similar problem with my Quest. It turned out to be the Qpac. I rang GPSW and they sent me out a new one after testing the old one

Last I heard we're expecting a software update to fix the problem in August. In the meantime the only definite solution is to wire from the battery (with a fuse & relay).
