Lost all faith

And how do you know all this ?
Someone work for BMW by any chance ?
It's ok there are other things going on behind the scenes to which BMW should take note on but that's for another time and they got a shit load more to come which i have not said on here or anywhere else
BMW have made me more to be against them than for them and thats there own doing by retracting there original offer
I make a better friend than an enemie

Stick it to "da man"

I bet BMW are having sleepless nights and shitting in their pants at the thought of whats coming

JB is correct

when push comes to shove you will lose so take what they are offering, move on and enjoy what time you have left on this earth

Well said. When my bike was replaced by BMW, I didn't say a word until afterwards. Even then, I didn't go into that much detail, nor would I now, nearly 4 years later. The OP has shot himself in the foot by airing his laundry in public. The only thing he can do now is take the refund, close the thread, and move on.

It's a bit like that bollox when you work for big organisations. You know where you're encouraged not to talk about what your salary is to your colleagues.

Divide and rule.

Look after number one and fuck everybody else.

Well seen as this is my first time doing something like This, why didn't anyone tell me to remove my posts / threads etc due to BMW not liking this ?
Quick to jump on me after the fact but a heads up would of been nice too

Look after number one you say ?
Seems like it on here also

I have also had some great help from people on here and it's ok to point the finger at me for saying what's going on and asking for advice but when push comes to shove, seems like some people on here just like to judge and then criticise others and not help instead

Well shame on you for not looking out for the fellow BMW owner with a problem bike

BMW have much deeper pockets than you. so either put or shut up

You've been a cock - blabbing all over social media...........BMW only need offer to a refund

If I was a Dealer Principal in Grimsby, then I'd be transferring the money back to your account right now and sending a 'BMW GS cuddly teddy bear' to your door, as a memory of what could have been

FFS .... you're not a teenager!!! 'Why didn't anyone tell me to remove my posts'
Jeez ....

i feel your pain i had a similar thing happen to me ,
i brought an s1000rr brand new and had nothing but problem after problem so after 6 months it was enough so i contacted BMW GB and we all agreed they would give me a brand new bike but i had to contribute £1500 which i did thinking everything now would be tickety boo.
new bike arrived 1st sept rode it to work about half way i could smell oil burning stopped at work looked at the bike and the lower fairing was soaked in oil called BMW the recovered it had it for a few hours and called me and said your bike needs a new engine because the engine block is porous and its bleeding oil , so i wasn't prepared to loose my brand new bike 1 day old while it was having a new engine so they agreed to give me a refund but when they refunded me i only got the original purchase price no the purchase price and the £1500
so after all the messing about no bike and £1500 down

You must know BMW GB read this forum, as do their dealers and all the FB pages too....

Tell me that you're not that naive?

Crying over spilt milk comes to mind, take the refund and reflect on your stupidity

Your very quick to judge arnt you Mr fucking perfect
Why should i have to be in this situation when i have just spent all that money (cash not PCP or finance) to buy my dream bike for them to do this ?
Not my fault the bike fucked up now is it ?
BMW should stand and tell everyone that there is a problem with the 2017 bikes and they don't know what the problem is and then not letting me have another bike because it might have problems again is not good enough ( there own words not mine )
So you take from that what you will and shove it where the sun doesn't shine Mr Perfect

My point.....

Don't blab at every end and turn on here and FB, like you have been doing
Companies don't like it
Any goodwill has soon evaporated and rightly so

Now you have blabbed it all over the world, washing your dirty linen in public.... BMW have instructed the dealer to complete their statutory obligations - either repair or refund in full

Any goodwill of a new bike from BMW has been retracted - they don't like blabbers

Not good for business

You have only yourself to blame and why you can't see it...............astounds me:blast

So you are saying we have to protect companies that send out shite products?
Personally, I was close to setting the offices on fire.

BlackAl was correct earlier on the page - you'll never admit to fucking up.... by bleating

I'm sure there are lots of owners with perfect 2017 bikes, I see a few riding them now all fab

Take the refund, buy something else

Like Giles said................are you a fucking whining teenager?????

Do what you want, just keep your negotiations private like you did

Then you'd get the right result. like you did

I see it as a case of keep your friends close and your enemies closer still ...

You're out there to look after yourself and get the best result for you. And if that means you play the game and box clever, then that's what you do ..

(In hindsight I should have rejected my 2014 GS that had the worst gearbox I've had in thirty years of biking. I didn't, but sold the bike within 18 months ...)

When i visited Aston Martin back in the 80's

The gent who showed me round told me they selected vehicles at random that came back from road test, and

completely stripped & rebuilt the engine and gearbox to see how well they performed and if there was any undue wear

etc (these were customer cars, not specials etc). I remember thinking, i'd like one of the ones that had been stripped

and rebuilt, that way you'd have peace of mind that it was all OK

I don't recall seeing a resident clairvoyant last time i visited a garage , so in reality unless they strip the engine how are

they supposed to know what is wrong.

If you feel that unhappy, take the refund.

Had my cams changed at 2600 miles , then at 2608 miles the cam wheel fell off . Got a new bike as I too did not want anyone messing with my new engine again.
An to be honest my new bike is smoking now at 1100 miles so im a bit worried again .
A new engine built the way they are now should not be messed with at such low milage.

We thought you were a grown-up.

I've only skimmed this thread, but my precis.

Guy buys a bike that has problems. BMW offer to refund. Refund is refused and guy insists on having a replacement bike in which he has lost all faith.

Did I miss something?

Yeah .... the internet slagging off bit ...

Yes lots
They offered me a refund or another bike
Asked for another bike then they rejected bike due to my social networking

BMW have said to me that they will repair my bike or refund

BMW have also said that they don't want me on a BMW brand bike but will repair mine ??

BMW have also said that they done feel that my expectations can be met and they will not change the bike again at the time of renewal if anything else goes wrong as i know there is a fault with the 2017 BMW model

In other words they are not confident enough to give me another bike knowing it might go wrong but they won't do a recall due to all the publicity it will bring them and the negativity towards BMW so other people would possibly go elsewhere
