I just want to thank you all I was having a boring day at the office then read all 13 pages of this post...my secretary came in to see what I was laughing about. Hilarious.
I get that you feel let down but honestly BMW have offered a refund, they have complied with their legal obligations, not their fault that you don't want to take it because you feel there is no other bike out there for you.
Please please take the refund I have work to do and cannot sit here reading more pages on this post...I will get the sack.
Then I will have to get my Mum to call my boss and say it wasn't my fault I was reading a hilarious GSER post all day.

I didn't need to get my mum involved when BMW replaced my bike, perhaps they only replaced it because it was engine and final drive corrosion and not mechanical. If mechanical I think he should get his mum to speak to Mr Heath ��

Well, having read all this, and remember some of the OP's original post (and that he did get offered a new bike, but was mithering about the cost of replacing keys etc etc)......
It's been informative, and fun to read.
I must add: My 2016 R1200GS (NOT Adventure) bought second hand with 1k miles on it (in fastest Red colour) from Vines HAS BEEN SUPERB!
(BMW please not just in case I have a problem in the future!......LOL

Haha, the nearest you've ever been to danger at sea is your chips being attacked by an Aberdeen Seagull.
