Going for a spin tonight suddenly lost power.Started but only on high revs then cut out.Is this a fuel pump problem or what,it's a 2010 gsa with just under 8000 miles.
I dunno. I have one. But seems odd that it was going ok till right after you put fuel in. You'll not be the first one that's had contaminated fuel from a filling station. How much rain recently? Flooding?
Tanks very low at the station and a lot of gloop into the bike? I worked at a garage once where flooding got in and crappy sludgy water was going into vehicles. Cost a fortune to sort.
May be unconnected but the addition of fuel is worth a look. I'd maybe remove the filler cap unit and be siphoning out a good sample into a bottle just in case you need proof if it does happen to be contaminated.
However - could be ???
Maybe there's someone local that has a GS-911 that can check the bike.
Did it feel like a general loss of power or running on one cylinder feeling?
Does it tick over? if not make sure the throttle position cable hasent fallen off the l/h throttle body. Mine did on it's own and I got the same symptoms.
I'd lost the plastic wedge that held it on, re-placed with a large plastic rawlplug and fine ever since!!.
