lousers at ryanair

Just imagine what the airfares would be if it wasnt for Ryanair and the competitiveness they brought to flying & airfares.

I remember paying £198 (Irish Pounds) return to London in the late seventies with Aer Lingus, what would that be in today's value €500 ? or more perhaps !

The car park in Dublin Airport has often cost me more for a week than Ryanair's fares to Spain and elsewhere. While I'm no fan of O'Leary you get what you pay for, a cheap no frills flight that operates on time and sometimes the shite that comes with buying a cheap airfare.

Just imagine what the fares will become for the same service when there are no other airlines. You think O'Leecher will suddenly change it to the nice friendly quality airline when there is no competition, nah it'll be worse and more costly....

I've been flying with Ryanair for 12 or 14 years since my best friend moved to London. 2 or 3 times a year. In the last 2 years we've flown on average once a month with Ryanair, usually to Stansted but we've flown to Frankfurt, Malaga and Tenerife too.

I've never been delayed that I remember(so if I was it was a short delay), Never had a flight that didn't go, never had luggage taken or put in the hold or anything like that.

The hostesses could definitely do with a course in 'niceness' :augie

If you arrive in time with your passport and with the right size and weight bag, with your liquids where they should be there's no problem.

There are rules and as long as you stick to them there shouldn't be a problem.

Having said all that, I do keep thinking that by law of averages we should've had a problem by now and kinda fear it may be just round the next corner:eek:

Could not agree with you more.......that was the problem before, no competition until RyanAir came along........I'm very sure that if RyanAir got itself into a no competition market we would have higher cost airfares again but still probably not as high as when Aer Lingus had the monopoly years ago because it was not a cost conscious airline because it didn't have to be because of state subsidies.

Any-how's, hopefully RyanAir will not get to that position of control, but RyanAir is one of the richest airlines in the world at the moment so anything is possible I guess, like taking out the other major Irish airline. I hope not:eek

RYANAIR

mr tom

i applaud your reply but

they no sell me noooothing as

i can do without

i can go elsewhere

what they have im not that desperate for

Its only yourself that you are fooling . Anytime that i have booked Ryanair (including 5 mins ago to hamburg ) it was primarily because they have the cheapest price and the most suitable times . No more than the apple stuff ( although i think less so ) you are doing yourself more of an inconvenience by not using them . A bit like cutting off your nose to spite your face . Go on then give in

FF

the other option i was considering is more interesting - not done it before

is cheaper

they have within half an hour same times as that other shower :D
