the 95 mile marker. Just fitted bbs powerchip and installed as per instructions. Already had remus grand prix and guy at motorworks advised disconnection of lambda probe. reset motronic and off I went. yellow light blinked at 95 miles. refitted probe, reset motronic and off I went. Yellow light again at 95ish.
Prior to chip swap I was getting 120/130. Most riding is in central London. Any offers ? something aint right.

You do realise there are 4 more gears after 2nd??:)

Seriously, how are you riding the bike to be getting a mere 120-130 miles before the light comes on? How much fuel are you putting in when you fill up? That is a serious drink problem!! As a comparison, I have the BB chip in my 1150, along with the Remus Y piece and Remus silencer. My route to work takes me around the section of the North Circular that takes in Palmers Green and New Southgate. My light comes on around 185 - 200 miles (more accurate speedo drive fitted).

It's hardly a silencer, bloody thing rips off my ears...

What colour is your GS BOB? I travel (or rather wobble) the north circular to greenford each day), I'll look out for ya.

I have a black GS with a red seat.....

Bob,

I WAS getting 120/130. I now get 95. Fill up is about 18litres or so. A couple of years ago I commuted Lewisham - Wood Green via the N Circ and would obtain 150/160 before the yellow light. Since then my commute has been heavy S Circ riding, for which I was rewarded with 120. post powerchip I now get no further than 95 before the yellow light. I ride as quick as I need to ! BTW, its an 1100.

The best colour. Mandarin of course :) I'm normally on it between Edmonton and Hendon, usually from about 7.20am.

Phil,

Which chip is it? Is it the BB Power one or the BBS Starchip? Shouldn't have knocked the range down to that level. I wonder if fitting the chip has caused the CO setting to change to a default setting, which is usually around 5%. It should be about 1.5% as standard. The 1100 has a potentiometer fitted near the rear seat which can adjust the CO mix. I have a gas analyser which can check the mix to see if the bike is now running too rich. If you want to give it a try sometime (I'm in Edmonton), give me a shout.

Bob,

Its a powerchip as far as I know. The bike came originally with a cat/lambda and no potentiometer. I binned the cat/ for the remus. If I need to go down the pot route I may take up your offer thanks.

City running absolutely ruins the fuel range. My commute changed from about 35 miles each way to about 55 miles each way but I ended up using just as much fuel because instead of having to fight traffic up the A23, A217, A219 I now have a long stretch of M3, A316, A205 which are much better.

Also, traffic lights. Old route was over 70, new route is under 25 sets so less stopping.

Used to get 150 to the yellow light, now I get around 180-190.

My 1100 get's nothing under 200 before the light goes on mate. There is something seriously wrong. Mine started getting heavier on the juice when my TPS packed up. Replaced and now back to normal 240-250 miles per tank irregardless my riding style.

200+ miles per tank? Are you talking miles or Kms? I get just over 150 before light is on, 1150 with a remus...17 litres goes in...

Sorry can't help you phil but it must be dribbling out the exhaust...
