As soon as the low fuel level light ignites my 1150 gets a little stutter. Not bad, but enough to feel it hunting around 80ish.

I know the cure is to put fuel in, but my old one never did it.

How many miles should I get from the light coming on? Just wondering whether the float arm has been bent and the light doesn't come on until it's nearly out :nenau

Standard 1150, not big tank? I get 200 to 220 miles before the light, depending on how and where I ride. How much fuel does it take when the light has just come on? From memory, it's less than 20 litres unless I've been watching the orange light for a while.

Possibility of some water in the tank?

My R1150GS runs fine up until empty, no stutter.

My R1100R runs a bit rougher when it's getting low on fuel, but it doesn't stutter.
