I've had the bike a few weeks now and I have nearly dropped it on 4 occasions so I'm looking for a lower seat.

I'm a short arse so yes, I should have bought a standard GS but I like the look of the ADV. I've looked at the new Wonderlich Low GS seat and I think will work for me as it's 2" lower than the standard seat and seems to support your back.

Has anybody got this seat? any issues with it ? is it comfortable.

Cheers Andy

Sorry no answer with regards to Wunderlich Seat, however have a few suggestions

Could take your seat to Tony Archer in huddersfield who will re-shape your current seat perhaps taking a few cm's off, think he charges about £60 and loads of good reviews about him on here if you do a search. He has a website if you google him

Alternatively see if someone wants to swap a standard GS Seat for the adventure which I believe will take approx 2cm's off height. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong

Sargent low seat +1 far superior excellent for extended riding done 33k on mine and would not swap for the world. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Wunderlich low seat

I had no trouble fi,nding this on www.wunderlich.fr Look for a SELLE BASSE ...if you cannot manage a little French p.m. me and I'll try and e(-mail you the details 311€ is the cost. I assume it is not on a UK website?

x2 for Tony Archer. £80 for lowering front seat, including gel inserts, same covering reused.

V comfortable

Low Sargent seat did the trick for me.

Had the BMW low seat for a while but sooo uncomfortable after an hour or so. Sargent seat is excellent IMO

Thanks for the replies, I like the look of the Sargent but I need to sit on one first. Anybody with a 1200 adv with this low seat live near York so I can sit on it and try it? Looking at the specs it is only 1" lower than standard, that might not be enough for me.

I have heard very good things about Tony Archer seats as well so this will be my second option.

Cheers Andy

You can 'have a sit' on mine or borrow it for an hour if you fancy a trip into Lancashire.

They are expensive but if you keep you eyes open for a second hand one you will re-coup your money if you ever decide to sell.
