Lowered 1200 GS

lowererd 1200gs

I am waiting for my new 2010 lowered 1200gs to be deleiverd in 2 weeks, to replace my lowered 17,000 mile the 08 1200gs. I have been all over europe including alpine passes without any ground clearance issuses fully loaded and enjoyed every corner. I have also owned the standard bike there is not to much between them apart form no ESA. For the first time ever after owning 10 BMWs I can now touch the floor.

I'm 5'6" 28/29" inside leg, and ride an '08 GSA.


I bought the lowered seat, then had that cut down. It has just a 10mm gell pad now and the covering. My legs are still a bit short, and I just have to make sure if I'm loaded up, I pay attention to where I'm stopping. Otherwise it's great!

PS. I wondered what the 'sports' mode did, thought it would stiffen the suspension up a bit, quicker cornering etc. Imagine my surprise at the next set of lights, when I discovered it had actually shortened my legs.
