Just back from a 1200 mile tour of Scotland, the Gs1150 was superb; my only gripe was my knees hurt like hell on days 3 and 4.

Will the various kits that are available help? And which is best?

Thinking of the SW Motech kit, as the pegs are lower and bigger and also have rubber inserts. The touratech stuff seems very off road based.

Cheers.

Fastway footpegs give you a 25mm lower peg (or a standard height one, depending on how you fit them) and a wide flat platform. I've used them for several years and can thoroughly recommend them...

There was enough adjustment in both the gear lever and rear brake lever to allow for the new position.

Putting an advert in the Wanted section might get you a set (you'd have to contribute £12 towards BHT's new yacht fund to do this, though)...

Mike

I had a kit from Verholen, granted it was about 10 years ago, included a bracket to lower the footrests as well as the bits to get the gear lever and brake pedal right.
