Need to lower my GS 2006. 70+ years now so feeling a little tall for me now, Any one out there to rebuild my shocks with shorter springs and rods . Rear is original BMW front Hagon fully servicable . Just using shorter spring is that an option? Other than new shocks around £1200 !

Lowering is easy

Std bike - manual suspension

Method 1

Wind the rear adjustor right out - lets the bike sit lower

Method 2
Get a factory low seat gives another 20- 30 mm reduction

Method 3

Lowered shocks, they come up one here, around £300 a pair Wilburs are one make, but there stock setting is very hard, i needed a very soft setting

Method 4

Remove your original shocks and sent them to Denzo, he can rebuild & lower the units to you and get the correct spring rate

Finally, you will need to lower your centre stand 30mm, and your side stand will need cutting to accomodate a reduction of 30 mm

thanks for the reply, may try Denz0

Denzo did mine, great service, my sidestand was fine, didn’t cut the main stand down either, just used an inch thick piece of wood in the garage.
