Lucky to get home!

I got back from a short trip to the Nurburgring on Thursday evening, the ride back was a little like standing in a 90mph car wash for 5 hours but the 950 got me home safe and sound.

On the roads round the track, the bike was fantastic, leaving the other 3 bikes on the bends. Turns out that that's not all I was leaving behind... Went to clean the weeks cack off the bike today and found this when I went to adjust the chain.

Do we think that it'll buff out or am I looking at a replacement?

I'm amazed your chain stayed on the sprocket, let along actually drive it round without spinning up!

Could have had a nasty locked up rear wheel there .... !!

On last years Cambrian his sprocket on his exc450 came detached from his rear wheel (his fault - he replaced it without replacing the nylock nuts and the old re-used ones came undone .. ) and locked instantly at about 60 mph. Chain fucked, rear swingarm has great big chunks out of it, rear wheel demolished, engine wont idle (bent valves ??) ...

The nuts wouldn't have undone soley because they were reused, it would be because they weren't tightened properly
