I had the locking mechanism replased on my pannier last week one of my trainees paniced on the cluch and knoked it kleen off . The parts were less than £25.00

I broke mine trying to open it when I first got the bike. Not used to BWM's "clever" designs. Not had it replaced as dealer said takes and hour of labour and drilling and resetting of pins etc etc. Cannot be done by mere mortals etc etc Requires degree in fiddliness etc etc.
I was more than slightly put off.
So if you or anyone knows different Please let us know

Can be fixed, take it to the dealer.

I KNOW SOMEONE who snapped his (or hers) about one day after buying it.

Phone 'em up first, if they've got one they should it while you wait - it is a fiddly job - cost you about £50 - bet you dont do it twice though HE/SHE haven't.

got a quote of £26 for parts and didnt dare ask them for a fitting charge

The kit includes reasonable instructions and all the parts required.

Don't give your money away to the dealer for doing the job
