Luggage lists.

A fresh entry, TRAX.

Though I am not sure if it's a recommendation for the panniers (which may be crap) over the ease of their frame removal?

Further clarification needed, please.

I demand that this thread be taken back on topic at once.

Lists, not holiday reminiscences, are what are important.

PS Got a link for Chez Morel, as I can't be arsed.

Not entirely

The Vario frames are neat & are easy to detach also - but not really necessary

The Varios are utter crap.
Tried them for one trip and at the first hotel decided they were not right for me.

Too heavy
Flex too much

Anyway each to their own

I have Zego Pro, my mate has TRAX

For every moaner like you - BMW will have a 100 happy users of Vario panniers

:)

Pelican style boxes .... cheap 'n' cheerful , purposeful without the pose , tough as old boots! :thumb2

Fiddle to remove the boxes for a few minutes or simply unlock the frames and take the frames and boxes off as one....voila, no scaffold! :augie

If you must have top loaders then mount them top side facing up!

See, that's what happen when bods keep on topic.

Pelican style.

One high class and fresh entry from the western end of this small isle, with pictures too for added credence.

PS Your tax disk expires in a month or so.

Wapping - Cracking effort with the highest number of posts in a Toilet GS thread again - 15 so far and going strong :thumb2

Your goal of 30,000 posts cannot be far away now - awesome :beerjug:

.....and for the record happy so far with my Vario side cases and a Givi Trekker top box :)

Try Google..... I can recommend it ! !

Meanwhile, back on topic.................................I have read that TRAX leak, and are quite renowned for it.

Soft luggage is not an option, and whether to leave the luggage on or off, and where to store it is totally another thread Tarka.

Yup, I know. Couldn't be arsed.

Anyway, good to see that you've now cheered up and have some real alternatives to chose from. Me, I still think BMW's standard offerings will do you fine and that the huuuuuuge top box is unnecessary if all you want to do is lob a couple of helmets in every so often. A simple cable lock will do you fine. Something like:

Being cheap, simple and reliable means you'll be more likely to use it regularly, trust me.

You'll miss your 1600. But that's a different matter.

PS Trax are very similarly to BMW's own Adventure cans. If they leak, drill the very small hole I mentioned, using a hand drill. It takes seconds and works. You'll probably be using waterproof inner bags anyway... That's a whole different question... So your stuff will stay dry, no matter what.
