Anybody else having trouble getting hold of luggage?
Been waiting 5 weeks for panniers come on Mr BMW get your act together :ronno

I just hope the vario's fit your bike as there are thousands of bikes (TE models) that they don't fit .

I have heard of a few that they don't fit but frankly it bothers me little. They are BMW panniers sold specifically for the vehicle. If they don't fit the dealer makes them fit. Simples :)

I phoned around a few dealers , I strike gold with Lind BMW and they fit:D

Why wait for the BMW bags when there are so many other options, almost all of them sturdier?

Yeah, but they look like shit! Yes, I am sure that they are sturdy and do the job, but why do they have to look like shit?

mine's been on order for 10 weeks from rainbow, so im giving up and getting some zega's, how hard can it be to knock up some plastic feckin panniers:blast

Beauty is in the eye of the beerholder! I like 'em. :nenau

And really, given that a GS is not exactly a beauty queen anyway... :hide

Bike arrived last week, also no luggage, and no indication when it will come, according to dealer, could be months !
Anyone know the reason for this ? Will they come, how long ?
Or should I ask for money back and get aftermarket boxes ?
Michael.

My new bike should arrive in August if there are still no panniers and no date for them to arrive, can I reject the bike?

I don't want to do this but as we are going away on it in September this will cause a problem:eek:

varios available for 2013 R1200 GS LC/WC

I ordered a set of vario's but after a number of weeks they hadn't arrived. They are now in stock but as I explained to the dealer, I have no immediate use for them now and they are available if someone wanted to purchase the. The dealer is in Dublin Ireland, As the parts come from via the uk I suspect postage wouldn't be wild expensive for the dealer.
Contact Joe Duffy's BMW, here are the relevant linky things ask for Sean in Motorrad.

How do BMW manage to do this every time, it was the same with the 1150 GSA boxes, you can have the bike sir boxes ..... Er no ..... Not yet, sold as the ultimate touring machine, as long as you did not need luggage.

Then the excuse was poor quality from their manufacturer. What will be the excuse this time?

That's very good of you I am sure someone will be very pleased to take them off you:clap

I will wait for my bike as it is not built yet, the dealer knows the score we made it very clear to them about needing all our luggage. It is up to them to get it sorted they have long enough:rolleyes:

If the bike is definitely coming in August, and you are prepared to reject the bike if the panniers haven't arrived in time for your trip, why not get them now?:nenau
