Does anyone know if I can run mac os on my dell latitude laptop?
It's running Linux Ubuntu, after a windows meltdown, but have got an iPad now & it would help to say nc between them both.
Cheers

I'd say you'd find it really difficult as Apple repeatedly make it more difficult to run their OS on other machines. Also, you may only be able to run a really old version.

Probably best to bite the bullet and buy a Mac. I know of someone who sells reconditioned ones that can run the latest OS. Let me know by PM if you're interested.

Cheers, thought it might be a tough job, not that desperate, just thought if could get the iPad synced via the laptop it would make sense to have em running the same os.
Will think about if we want to add a mac to the house & pm you if it's a goer.

I've been thinking, (yes, it was painful and thank you all for asking ;) ), there is program called Virtualbox that may enable you to run Apple OS on a Linux or Window$ machine.

If your latitude uses an intel processor (i3, i5, i7 or Atom) it should be more straightforward to hackintosh. If it runs an AMD processor, you'll need an OS with a hacked kernel such as iAtkos or iDeneb.

Different OS, different architecture, I wouldn't worry too much, there's more than 4 people running windows and iTunes.

in fact you don't actually have to have a pc / mac at all these days to run iOS 5 devices.

You add a mac once you get fed up with windows.
