After a year of using a Mac and wondering why I did not give up with Microsoft years ago I have just discovered another reason to change.

The Q key on the Bluetooth keyboard packed up. A phone call to Mac resulted in "OK sir we will send a new keyboard out FOC by courier. Please give the courier the faulty one when they deliver."

I don't see the association between a faulty Apple keyboard and Microsoft.
Have you ever owned a Microsoft computer?

I had a similar experience with my Apple mouse within a month of the 12 month warranty. When the scroll wheel started to jam at regular intervals I was told by Apple support to place a clean piece of white paper on my desk, turn the mouse upside down and press on the scroll button whilst moving the mouse in a circular motion.

It's not all sunshine and flowers with Apple.

But you don't say whether it worked. If it did it was a lot quicker than waiting for a replacement.

PS Get a Magic Mouse. Scroll without buttons.

YIKES!!! £50 for a keyboard!!!!

I'd be going spare that the flippin thing broke in the first place!!!

;)

IIRC they are £56 :yikes

just don't let any moisture get under the keys. DAMHIK x 2 :blast :blast

I spilt a mug of tea over mine ages ago and luckily it dried out okay and no problems since. Probably a good job I don't take sugar in my tea :thumb

Apple Magic Mouse is the dog's danglies, once you get used to it.

I just got my first iMac after years of PC's

It's great

Love the mouse too

Update.

Phoned Apple on Monday. New keyboard sent from Holland and delivered by UPS courier who struggled through snow at 10:00 today (Tuesday)

I Mac

Still lovin my i-mac after just over a year, no probs yet and yes mouse scroll ball sticks occasionally - the roll on paper does work - cant see how to open the mouse to clean the rollers like in a regular ball mouse ?:thumb
