I had a rather nasty accident at work 12 days ago which resulted in my right hand going through rollers and crushing my thumb and forefinger. Fortunately, I was taken to Morriston Hospital where the decision to amputate was turned around to reconstruct. I had 4 days in the High Dependency Unit in the Burns & Plastics Ward following 2 ops of 4 hours and 8 hours and a further 6 days in isolation. I have had 2 days out this weekend and go back in tonight. Anyway, I have lost part of my right thumb and had massive reconstructive surgery and skin grafts. My hand is now "different" to the other one of the pair and I can't see me getting a glove on it when I do eventually get to ride my bike again, (and I will!). Now to the question: Anyone here had any experince of made-to-measure gloves? I think BKS Leather may do this, but I would like to hear of anyone who has any experience of this. Thanks
