Does anyone know if there are companies out there that do made to measure Cordura Trousers? I've tried on all the H-G, IXS etc stuff and when I sit on the bike they ride up above my boot tops. Any help/experience greatfully received.

Expensive route but apparently excellent, BMW does many sizes (Streetguard 2 for example). Should be less expensive than made to measure. I plan to buy the whole suit as soon as I've saved enough (I'm 6ft4 and I've got to use gators over my boots for the same reason, I've got HG trousers...)

That will be pretty expensive, plus you will need to find a gortex liner etc. and then find a very friendly tailor.

I had the same problem on my Blackbird. The zip bottomed trousers steadily rode up on the gear gear change side. It rained and water poured into my boot.

As a temporary fix I had a velcro 'strap' sewn on, so I could pull the trouser bottom tighter. HG have improved their trousers since and incorporated the same thing. I bought a pair and are A OK.

Rukka do various leg lengths in their Cordura trousers. Again, not a cheap option, but gotta be cheaper than bespoke

I think MJK and Hideout Leather both can do made to measure textile stuff. Hideout can certainly alter textile gear, provided that the waterproof bit is not bonded to the outer.

Thanks everyone. You've given me a few good ideas :thumb

Got me the 'long' versions of the rukka unit trousers. They give an extra 7cm over standard, and are available 7cm shorter also in 'Short-arse' size.

I bought mine from germany here: www.biker-land.de CHEAP.... :beerjug:

Had same problem as you! Clover do extra-long length fabric trews which work OK for me (6'5"). Probably a bit cheaper than Rukka, but maybe not as high quality.

same here with the riding up. Solved it with longer boots!

MJK leathers/fabric clothing can be bought from GLF in Flitwick. The shop is closed this week as they have a stand at the Ali Pally show.

Beware: Graham is a formidable salesman and don't be surprised if you come out of the shop with a credit card receipt for several hundred pounds!
