Main dealer service. Disappointed.

I personally wouldnt take it back ever to that dealer, if it happens once it will again on someone elses bike , they had a chance of martyn h business in the first place and did not provide a good standard so why return , i cant ever imaging bvm releasing a bike in that condition and anticipate you get first class service :thumb

I have been a BVM customer for 25 years & always had good service BUT I still feel you're missing the point with the OP.

He had a bad experience - but does he take it up with the original dealer ? No.

It might be a bad mechanic amongst a number of good ones, it might be a normally sound tech. having a bad day - who knows what's going on in the blokes life ? Just separated, a parent just died, child in hospital, who knows ?

But how on earth can the dealer
A) Be aware of the problem or
B) Put it right
if the OP won't even tell him about his experience with their workshop.
If after discussing it with the Service manager the OP feels hard done by, that might be the time to complain via the forum.
Just my perspective.

Yes very true they cant put it right if they dont know of any problems , and i got to admit there have been plenty of praise for dealers on here regarding customer service :beerjug:

I've just had a 6k service done on mine yesterday at Southport Superbikes, didn't have any issues myself. Had new boots fitted, and brake fluid changed too. Came out as filthy as it went in, and they had a moan saying that it needs cleaning... :soapbox: But no, can't fault them personally!

But yeah, if you're not happy with the outcome, raise it with them personally. I've only ever had 1 bad experience with a bike workshop on an old bike, but me being me, instead of moaning about it, I just sorted out the issues myself and vowed never to return. But that's not really an option for most people!
