Hi,
I am new to the forum. I am from Canada and have a 2006 GS stored in Kinsale, Cork, Ireland. I would like to order some parts to do maintenance such as cylinder head/ plug gaskets, oil & filter, gear oil, crush washers, moly lube for final drive. I will be flying over in mid-June for 3 weeks and to tour the Alos and surrounding area. Any suggestions for venders would be appreciated. I also need to get a front tire.
Thanks
Kelly

Probley Motorworks. I use them on and off. Never had a problem with them. Very good for parts and advice. They do mail order. JJH

I recently bought an alternator belt £20 from BMW. £13 from MotorWorks.
My bike 2008/60k miles still has the original rocker cover gaskets.

Careful with Motorworks Alt belt

The last couple that came for me were incredibly hard to fit

The suffix on the belt part number should be ELAST !

Theirs didn;t have the suffix so were standard non stretch belts

I don't know what suffix was printed on my new belt but it was horrible to fit. Supplied by BMW. The ribbed face on the bottom pulley kept flipping the belt.
I eventually found a couple of large repair washers to put under the retaining nut. They stopped the belt flipping and easily removed before torquing up the nut.

I mentioned I was new but judging by the quick responses I can see this is a great group of riders! Thank you for your informative replies!
