Manx GP 25

Yes. Won by M Dunlop. Convincingly. There followed a parade lap by 80s - 90s stars on bikes and classic sidecars.
Loved the Sidecar lap. We even got a wave off some of them👍

I bloody hope so. We cycled a half hr. to our Marshalls post. Wife got a puncture, then told the afternoon session is off. 😕 Puncture fixed. Try again.
Where was your marshalls post? If on the mountain section that would have been some pedaling.

Some pics from the classic event at Peel ...

1. A much modified R100GS.

It took me exactly - all fecking day!! ....:D

Bray Hill was simply terrifying on 16" wheels and rim brakes, then Ramsey hairpin to the top was a right slog on a not very low lowest gear.

I wonder how quickly the 'proper' Manx cyclists, like Crutchlow and Cavendish, can get round?

May well have fallen again by now. I slogged up West Baldwin and right to the top at The Brandy Well (then left down to Cronk y Voddy) a few years ago. Thought I'd done OK until I saw the fastest time up there...again by Pete Kennaugh...and I cried into my Guinness.

We were at Greeba. No cycling is allowed on the Mountain.
Union Mills tomorrow.

Tried to take some pic of this Langan but some cheeky bloke pushed it away 😉OK as its Lee Johnston, I'll let him off😎IMG_20250828_124942.jpg

Got some more pics of the Langan.
The chain looks like a bicycle chain. But it's great looking machine. Notice the name on the tyre. Brings back memories IMG_20250828_131151_edit_268882064469386.jpgIMG_20250828_130724_edit_268961755086561.jpgIMG_20250828_130808_edit_268905231526153.jpg

Nice turn out on Douglas Prom for the RAF TYPHON Display. Shame it was so far out at sea to get a good look at it. 🤔IMG_20250828_192652_edit_302827896314205.jpg

Back home now after 2 weeks of relatively good weather😉 and great racing. Plus all the other events around the Island. Also enjoyed wandering round the Paddock spotting the riders.
Shame the last day was spoilt by a few showers. Disappointed that MD wasn't able to do a Parade Lap on one of Joeys bike, as I'm sure he could make allowances for the odd damp patch on the Course.
