Mapping update GS1150?

I read somewhere that it was worth taking your bike to a BMW dealer for servicing as they could download the latest fuel injection mapping updates through their diagnostic equipment.

When asked, my local (French) BMW franchise informed me this service was available for the GS1200 range but unavailable for the 1150.

As I don't have much confidence in French bullshit, can anyone confirm the validity of the above statement?

Yep,`tis true.

The 1150 isn`t the computer game that the 1200 is

Fuel Mapping is done by the jumper block on the 1150's, check out Steptoe for more info on changing the jumper, do a search on fuel mapping/Steptoe he did an excellent post on how to change it.
