Mapsource 6.14/wanderlust mapping

For those who use Wanderlust - apparently it doesn't work with Mapsource 6.14

"Garmin's new : City Navigator Europe NT 2009, Deluxe All Regions, Aug. 08

Once downloaded, ( 2.45 Gb) this version will install itself on your PC and install Map Source 6.14 automatically overwriting any previously installed Map Source versions. City Navigator Europe NT 2009 will ONLY work under 6.14
If you use Map Source 6.13.7 or lower, you will not be able to see the maps on your PC
I use the marine unit ( which also can do auto routing) the GPS 278C which has sufficient internal memory to upload all of these and hold them and I was able to update my unit only.
I spoke to Garmin who were very helpful but advised me there is no way around it as their software has been designed around 6.14

You currently cannot use the SmellyBiker's fab V2 maps under Map Source 6.14 - only 6.13 at present - Bob is aware of this and looking into it.
This is the same problem for other non-Garmin maps many of us use."

Are there still problems with 6.14?

I haven't yet upgraded and hadn't planned to but it seems CN 2009 only work with 6.14

I rather think it's up to the smelly biker to fix his maps to work with the latest mapsource.

Still problems, yes IMO, the arrow point is not the place where things happen, and if for example you place a flag on a road, the base of the flags pole is not the actual point In short, frustrating.

When you do a CN2009 update, it automatically updates the 6.14.1. No option, automatic

The list of issues with 6.14 is long. Almost infinite. Still growing.

Advice: Use 6.13.7. There are no identified advantages with 6.14 whatsoever.

If your computer skill is limited and your choise is either CNE2008 with 6.13.7 or CNE2009 with 6.14 i suggest the older version. Do not upgrade if you are using CNE2008!

Just to be clear, that only affects CN NT2009.

City Navigator 2009( Non-NT version, for those with older units) is fine on MapSource 6.13

MapSource_6153 New version is there, it solve many problems
