Hi Gazza,
did just as you said and still get the same thing. Have sent a message to garmin, hope for a reply soon. Computer generated message from them says 5 to 7 working days to respond due to high levels of work they have at the moment.

Hope they sort it out for you, they are very good at resolving these glitches. Only Mapsource problem I have ever had was when I once loaded a Beta version and it caused all manner of problems but they sorted it over the phone. Will try and find you a UK phone number.

Tried another download again, it installed no problem this time. Dont know why the first 2 didn`t work but now its fine.

Its these computer things they have a mind of their own, anyway glad its sorted.

I have updated to the new version and noticed some quite nifty improvements. My files now have the ".dgb" suffix after the file name, instead of the previous ".mps" suffix.

Can anyone explain in simple english what the difference is, and secondly is there any advantage in re-saving my previous "mps" routes in "gdb" format, or just leave them as they are ?

I think the latest format takes advantage of database technology. Beyond that I don't know.

What I do know is that in using my older files I've been prompted to save them in the new format as I go. So I'd guess unless someone can point out an advantage in going through tehm specifically to convert, then just do it as you use them...
