Mapsource and "Vertical Profile"

Running Mapsource 6.5 and CN v7, and was looking through the guide and came across "vertical profile" which looks mildly amusing, but when I go into my route, the "Show profile" button is greyed out. I've RTFM and searched on this forum, but can't see anything on it.

Anyone got this to work? Know that it doesn't etc

I believe it only works on 'saved tracks' (downloaded from your GPS unit after a trip) rather than a route you've created on the PC.

Thanks - obviously an error in the manual then.

Note to self - switch tracking back on tonight going home and see just how flat where I live is...

Update

Yup it works OK for tracks uploaded to the PC, so must be a "manual" error saying you can look at routes. It may be coming though because there is a "show profile" button on the routes screen.
