Mapsource cant find French address

For those tired of Mapsource find 'fun'...

Garmin have produced a browser plugin that allows you to save google maps finds directly to your (USB) GPS as a waypoint...

(you could then download from the GPS and use the points to do travel planning if you want... dunno why they don't allow saving to Mapsource...)

Al....

Would someone give me set by set instructions how to find this address in Mapsource!

http://www.alpineaddictsmorzine.com/contact_us.htm

Thanks

GPS Location: North: 46º 11' 022" East: 6º 39' 401" according to their home page. Make a waypoint somewhere near to there, eg Annecy and then tweak the mapsource waypoints lat / long to reflect theirs = waypoint that should be near to it!

Or: http://www.multimap.com/maps/#t=l&map=46.18744,6.66748|13|4&loc=FR:46.18744:6.66748:14|la cote d'arbroz|La Côte-d'Arbroz, Haute-Savoie if you click on the globe / compass thingy below their e-mail address.

That help?

Granted not the way of search etc using mapsource, but then I guess you've found that isn't the easiest way a lot of the time?

Reading about all these "peculiarities" with Garmin and mapsourse makes me glad I sold mine. I could never get on with it and felt the software rather poor and obstructive to use. I now use a Becker sat nav which has found everything I have asked for in seconds. It is sooo much better than Garmin.

It's the Mapsource route planning I'm finding a challenge. I picked a bad example because it had the co-ordinates on their website!

We arrived at Alpine Addicts in the dark in a quite a remote location and the co-ordinates were not quite right (the ones on there now are from my Zumo). That said, the Zumo recon'd it was only accurate to 20m at the time.:blast

Which cartography does the Becker use and how much are the updates? Just had a look at some but didn't find a waterproof one so I guess that makes them pretty useless for bikes in the semi aquatic UK. Do they come with mapping software?
If I remember correctly their radios used to be fitted to Mercs and were very good.
