MAPSOURCE IRELAND COVERAGE

[(RIP) sherpa]

I know V8 of Mapsource has better Ireland coverage but is this only Northern Ireland or does it cover all of Ireland?

Southern Ireland varies, it’s a bit better in v8, but I think there is much more to come next year

NI is pretty much complete in V8. There is not much difference in the ROI from V7. As ebbo says big promises for next year.

Managed to navigate my way around the coast of Ireland with v7 in my Quest with no issues what so ever. Without it I'd still be riding aimlessly around Connemara where the signs made no sense.

Used Version 7 last year and was pleasantly surprised how good it was, after hearing all the feedback about how bad the coverage was.

not too many of the roads in donegal on 7 or 8... you couldn't use it to find some places.. but it may get you part of the way there

I'd hang on for next year anyway.. Based on the latest NavTeq maps (in non-Garmin products) they have much better coverage so will give much better bang for the buck... ( spending too much time these days with Americans).

V8 is a big improvement over my City Select V6, for the West Coast, but Donegal although improved is still far from finished
