I just downloaded the Mapsource 6.3 upgrade . I then went to open an existing 'mps' file that I have and was prompted by the upgrade to update this file to the new version. Ok - I think....so I proceeded. When exiting the .mps file I was prompted to save to a new format '.gdp' .......
Is this a good thing and will it have consequences if I want to share files with other people ? I suppose unless they have upgraded too they won't be able to read my route files or receive waypoints.
Any thoughts on this ?
Cheers

He ain't getting it back !! It's really good. I was a bit sceptical before using it but it is superb. It put's the GPS in a perfect position for keeping an eye on it and if you do need to use the controls whilst on the move it's well positioned so you are always looking ahead not down or off to the side as with the standard RAM mount. We have just done 1400km last weekend to the hog roast and around south England and it was really good. 10/10
