Mapsource upgrade is bonkers

I recently upgrade mapsource to v6.15.6, since then the route planner suggests the most bizarre, longway routes I have ever seen. When I try to alter the route to what it should be it maps to that point and then back again (uturn). Is it user error or has someone had this problem before

I have been shouting at my computer in frustration. Wife thinks I need to go to bed.....

I've noticed my 550 chooses different routes now after the upgrade......I wonder why.

Maybe the Zumo has different avoids / likes to the ones in the PC? My zumo has always recalculated the route after it has been downloaded.

It may be because I was in the truck and had the 'traffic' accessory plugged in - 'traffic' seems to work more effectively now (I don't use traffic on the bike).

It may also be to do with the fact I'm on 2010 now.

Avoidances are synced with Mapsource.

I'll see where it takes me when I have the time (?).

This sounds like the "Traffic" option has been turned on in the avoidances section. I've no idea how well it works with the traffic receiver, but without it, the routing will take you massively out of your way and typically double your journey time.

I've looked on the zzumo forums site and there dosn't seem to be too many issues apart from it not being easy to find campsites.

I'm not sure what happens when the traffic is found using the plug in. The changes to journey times seem to bear little resemblance to what the delay in minutes is showing I don't have traffic selected as an "avoid" IYSWIM, as if you're on a 200 mile journey and there's a 1 minute delay at the end, what's the point in recalculating, especially as when the delay goes away, it doesn't recalculate to take that into consideration?
