Exactly this happened to me last year on my 1150GSA while at traffic light just after filling up - not fun! Having removed everything and had the fuel pump stripped from the tank, there was no apparent fault. Upon re-assembly, everything's been fine ever since. It seems to be the case that the large O-ring seal on the pump wasn't seated correctly :nenau or some grit had compromised the seal. In any case, I hope its nothing too serious.....

Sorry I couldn't hang out longer to meet more of you guys - I stayed until about 2:40, but there were only a couple of us there.

Had a great ride though - so thanks for the suggestion :thumb

Sorry to have missed you. It was nearly 4pm by the time we got to Tonys in The Glen........I was waiting for the cavalcade for an hour in Bunclody....so there was a general hold-up in things. The lads will be along shortly with some pics..hopefully!

Hi all

Were home also but did not miss the downpour and gale force winds. We were being blown off the M50 and it looked like Brian was going to be the one in the ditch.

Thanks to Jockser and Darragh, and Aiden and Mandy for the organisation leads and sweep. Especial thanks for the lads who pulled me out of the ditch and fixed the bike. Mandy and Aiden for the sugar boost and everyone's concern.

my apologies to those particularly in the latter part of the day who were behind me the gear lever was resisting being changed and the ankle was getting stiffer. But its amazing what panadol can do.

I have a great purple large left ankle but despite all that I wouldn't have missed it for the world, and hope you will let me-join you all again.

Geraldine

Anything for a Bath

Well guys and girls.... Geraldine's relaxing now, the ankle is a swollen and brusied but she is a tough cookie and fair play to her for getting back on. Thanks a million to all that helped her out of the ditch. Josker and son Darragh, Mandy and Aiden special thanks for a fantastic days riding. Now I must go.... I think I hear Geraldine requesting a re-fill

Starting at the end I got home safely @ 8 pm. The trip from Mallow to Tralee was rough in spots - a small piece of a tree or bush hurled itself out of the darkness & hit my shoulder. That class of thing wakes a body up.

This body woke up @ 7 am yesterday & pondered the fish dash. Would it be a wash out or would I have a whale of a time. I floundered about wondering what’s the porpoise; dredged up reasons for staying deep in bed but trawled up the enthusiasm to go – leaving @ 7.40.

Had a few future photo rally locations to check out.
& some of this years that I still personally needed to “collect”.

The last point left me a little behind a 12.00 arrival @ Monaseed. I put the head down & passed a spot I meant to scout out with a steely determination to be on time. Got to Carnew before 12 needing fuel. Filled up & went into the wee shop. Half the parish were ahead of me buying their news papers & “I’ll have a few slices of ham as well”. One assistant, with all day to chat – I got to there @ 12.05.

More soon -

..........

The locals where there & R2D2; had not met Mark before but put that to rights. The Cork contingent arrived a little later.

The dog of the house went mad barking & we talked but not a lot happened.

The weather brightened – I had seen some drizzle in spots on the run over.

About 1 oc some noise was heard.

A shoal of bikes.

Some familiar faces.

& Herr leader.

With his assistant behind.
